Starting in 2010 Mad Lab Photography was born. Originally a party/nightlife/celebrity/music/event blog covering anything haute and now, all over Chicago. Due to an ever changing and sadly dissipating underground scene in Chicago and seeming the world at large coupled with various life changes the final shutter clicks where taken late in 2017. Then a few short years later the world shut down and photography seemed like a long forgotten past time that one would often dream of but never indulge in.
November of 2023 marked the rebirth of Mad Lab Photography with a new emphasis solely on live music. With a desire to do whatever one can, whenever one can to support the Chicago music scene. After a year back and over 100+ bands in the books it was time to open the internet doors again and bring things full circle. 2024 marked the move on to new endeavors, new artists, new sounds and staying in the safest space possible that is the concert photo pit for as many hours as I am allowed.
